Choose a farming workload that matters
Farming Simulator 22 includes crops, animals, production activities and seasonal farm management, with solo and online co-op play. A reference test should represent your own routine. Pick a field operation and a route through the farmyard where you notice uneven motion. Record the map, save, vehicle, attachment and camera view. Those details make the comparison more useful than a claim that every farm runs at the same speed.
Build two repeatable capture routes
Use a backed-up save and avoid buying or removing equipment between captures. Repeat the same short pass at a similar speed with the same camera direction. Note weather, visible activity and anything else you could not match. A stationary scene can be a separate baseline, but keep it labelled. Compare several captures so one autosave, notification or unrelated background task does not define your conclusion.
Balance image detail with useful visibility
Record resolution, scaling and graphics settings before changing a single option. Repeat both the field and yard routes, then check the view you actually use for driving and aligning equipment. A smoother capture is useful only if important edges and interface text remain readable. Test any frame limit separately from image-quality changes, and keep background capture software consistent when you compare measured performance.
Treat mods as a documented variable
Keep a written mod list with versions and sources. A modded map or vehicle is part of your workload, so record it rather than comparing it silently with an unmodified farm. Before testing a clean configuration, make a safe copy of the save and check the relevant instructions. Removing content from the only copy can create a different problem from the one you intended to investigate.
Separate controls, rendering and online delay
If steering feels wrong, describe whether the displayed movement is uneven, the input is misconfigured or a multiplayer action responds late. Test the same controller or wheel in a local session with the same settings where possible. Note the co-op host and connected players for online symptoms. A browser latency test cannot inspect force feedback, controller calibration or the simulation running in a shared farm.
Keep a farm performance notebook
Save the map, equipment combination, route, game version, settings and measured outcome together. Add whether the issue appeared only with a particular modification or multiplayer session. If asking for help, include the exact symptom and a minimal reproduction without uploading private account details. This approach supports careful decisions about settings and hardware, without promising that one preset or a larger component will solve every developed farm.
Common Farming Simulator 22 questions
Should I test only an empty field?
No. Keep an empty or quiet scene as one reference, but also test the working route and established yard you actually use.
Can I remove every mod to troubleshoot?
Use a backed-up test copy and follow mod instructions. Do not make destructive changes to your only working farm save.
Does low website latency prove my co-op farm is healthy?
No. The test measures this website’s HTTP endpoint, not the host, simulation or control devices in your Farming Simulator session.
